Carbon Impact & Reporting Policy
Gephra Sustaina
Last Updated: December 20, 2025
Operated by Gephra Ltd
Purpose
This policy supports transparency around carbon emissions connected to products, production, and logistics. It encourages vendors to understand their emissions footprint and communicate it honestly, while helping buyers make informed, climate-linked purchasing decisions.
Scope
Applies to all vendors selling products or services on the marketplace. This policy is advisory for MVP and becomes progressively structured as the platform evolves.
Vendor Expectations
Vendors are encouraged to:
- •Measure or estimate carbon emissions across product life stages where possible (materials, production, transport).
- •Share high-level carbon data when available to help customers compare impact.
- •Avoid false or overstated climate claims.
Carbon disclosure is voluntary now, but future structured data fields may be introduced.
Claims & Verification
All carbon-related claims shared on the platform—such as "carbon neutral" or "low-carbon"—must be supported with reasonable evidence or third-party verification where applicable. Unverified claims may be removed to protect marketplace integrity.
Platform Commitment
Gephra Sustaina aims to develop:
- •LCA-aligned carbon scoring tools,
- •sustainable delivery options,
- •and dashboards for emissions reporting.
These will be rolled out gradually as data standards mature and vendor readiness increases.
