Circularity & Product End-of-Life Policy
Gephra Sustaina
Last Updated: December 20, 2025
Operated by Gephra Ltd
Purpose
This policy supports circular economy practices on the Gephra Sustaina marketplace. It encourages vendors to design products and packaging with reuse, repair, resale, recycling, and safe end-of-life pathways in mind, reducing waste and extending product life cycles.
Scope
Applies to all vendors listing physical goods on the platform. Requirements are advisory during MVP and will gradually evolve into more structured guidelines as the ecosystem grows.
Vendor Expectations
Vendors are encouraged to:
- •Provide clear guidance for product reuse, repair, and recycling.
- •Use packaging materials that are recyclable, biodegradable, compostable, or reusable.
- •Offer take-back, resale, refill, or repair support where possible.
- •Disclose end-of-life instructions (care, dismantling, disassembly, or recycling information).
These actions help buyers make responsible purchases and decrease landfill waste.
Claims & Transparency
Statements such as "recyclable," "biodegradable," or "plastic-free" must be based on factual evidence. Vendors may be asked to show supporting documentation before such claims appear publicly.
Platform Direction
Over time, Gephra Sustaina plans to:
- •Introduce product circularity fields,
- •Support resale or repair partnerships,
- •Display end-of-life features on product pages,
- •And integrate circular data into sustainability scoring.
The goal is to build a marketplace that supports a circular economy—not just sustainable sourcing.
